County of Wetaskiwin, Canada

The County of Wetaskiwin, located south of Edmonton, Alberta, was looking for a tool that would streamline and automate the manual processes of strategic planning and project costing. The County previously used a combination of Microsoft Word and Excel documents to manage these processes, which was time-consuming.

The County chose CAMMS to help improve its processes because of the comprehensive package we offered, combining several existing programs into a central reporting system.

The County purchased a range of products from CAMMS’ SYCLE Local Government suite, which were planned out to be implemented over a four-year period, starting with Strategy Management.

Already, the County is seeing benefits in the ability to change from an operational focus and silo approach to an organization-wide performance culture.

Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Rod Hawken, said CAMMS had helped the County improve its business processes.

“CAMMS’ products have formalized what is done on a daily basis and assisted us in making better decisions to meet goals and has also strengthened the organizational awareness on team concepts,” he said.

“We are now able to provide monthly updates to Council and staff that allow them to make better, more informed decisions.”
